Privacy Policy

Privacy for grocery lists, shared spaces, and price memory.

Caddy is a grocery companion that remembers what you buy, what you paid, and when you need it again. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo to create and maintain your account. We use this information to identify you within your spaces and to let other members of a shared space see who added or checked off an item.

As you use Caddy, we store the grocery data you create: lists, item names, quantities, prices, trips, and price history. If you upload a photo of an item, that image is stored on Cloudflare R2. Your grocery data is synced to our servers, hosted on Fly.io, so it stays available across your devices. Data in a shared space is visible only to the members of that space.

We process your personal information on the basis of the contract you enter when you create an account and start using the service. For shared spaces, processing is necessary to deliver the collaborative features you and your space members choose to use.

Your data is hosted on cloud servers outside the Philippines, provided by Fly.io and Cloudflare.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. We do not use your grocery data for ad targeting or data brokerage.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (Settings, then Delete account), we delete your sign-in credentials, revoke the Google or Apple link, and anonymize your contributions in shared spaces so other members keep their history without your personal information attached. Your personal space and its data are archived. Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, object to or restrict processing, request erasure, and obtain a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

If you contact us by email, we use the information you send only to respond, troubleshoot, and support your request.

If this privacy policy changes, this page will be updated to reflect the current version. Continued use of Caddy after an update means you accept the revised policy.
